Co-CEO, Strobes N’ More
Co-Founder & Managing Principal, Yellowhammer Strategic Partners
John ("Jack") R. Eldridge
Jack Eldridge is the Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Yellowhammer Strategic Partners
(“YSP”), a search fund investment vehicle that he launched with his business partner, Cole, to
acquire an enduringly profitable industrial distribution business on the East Coast. In late 2023, YSP acquired Strobes N’ More, a New England-based distributor & installer of emergency vehicle equipment. Since then, Jack and his team have grown the business organically, improved operational efficiency, and completed an add-on acquisition & recapitalization of the business with an SBIC lender who will support future M&A initiatives. Jack & Cole co-own and jointly operate the business alongside their lending partners and a high-net-worth investor group.
Jack currently manages existing vendor relationships at Strobes, leads OEM partner expansion, and handles the company’s larger customer accounts. He also serves as the company’s de facto CFO and oversees its other back-office functions, including human resources, digital marketing, IT, and insurance. Last but not least, he runs the company’s M&A initiatives, sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities in the public safety & automotive aftermarket verticals.
Before founding YSP and acquiring Strobes, Jack spent ~7 years in various M&A and finance roles. He began his career at MHH & Co., a Philadelphia-based M&A boutique, where worked on ~$1B in transaction value, with a focus on companies up-and-down the industrials spectrum (e.g., manufacturing, distribution, B2B services). During his MBA years, he spent time with two private equity sponsors focused on the search fund model and a PE-backed industrial tech company.
Jack holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Public Policy, and a dual-major in Finance & History from the University of Alabama (RTR). He grew up in a family business—HVACR Distribution—and has
been interested in entrepreneurship from a young age. Outside of work, Jack enjoys skiing, live
music, squash, and non-fiction reading. Jack spends a good bit of time at Strobes HQ in Coastal RI, however he currently resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife, Anna, and their two high-energy Australian Shepards.
